T-Lock's seal is specially designed for this purpose. The seal contains Kevlar fibers that are exactly the right size to seal the needle puncture during a pressure check and yet large enough fibers to be able to take any major damage that the tire may be exposed to in the form of sharp stones or nails, etc.
