The new improved needle has a cut tip to make it easier to cut through the outer tire when checking tire pressure.
TIP: Clean the surface where you are going to insert the needle into the tire to avoid dirt getting into the needle. If you also insert the needle a little diagonally, you will get more rubber that helps seal after the needle.
